Hebeila, November 04 (Darfur24)
Around 345 people were displaced from four villages in Hebeila locality, South Kordofan State, on November 3 and 4 amid rising security concerns, according to the International Organization for Migration’s Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM).
In a report issued on Wednesday, the DTM said the displacement affected Al-Katan, Karkandi, Rajal Al-Marafin and Nama Al-Hajar villages, with families moving to other areas within Hebeila locality.
The displacement followed violent clashes on October 30 in Al-Katan and Rajal Al-Marafin between the Sudanese army and an alliance of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N), which reportedly left fighters dead and wounded on both sides.
