Al-Rahad, November 04 (Darfur24)

A drone, believed to belong to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), struck two fuel stations in central Al-Rahad Abu Dakna, North Kordofan State, at dawn on Wednesday, destroying them without causing casualties, local sources told Darfur24.

The sources said the drone fired four missiles at the Al-Mithaq and Nawafil fuel stations at around 2 a.m., destroying both facilities.

The attack comes amid an escalation in drone strikes targeting civilian infrastructure across Sudan, including fuel stations, markets, hospitals and water and electricity facilities.

Attacks on fuel stations pose additional risks to civilians, particularly given the long queues outside such facilities and the reliance of essential services, including water supplies, healthcare and other public services, on fuel to operate.

The United Nations has warned that attacks on energy and fuel infrastructure disrupt civilians’ access to water, healthcare and food, while also hindering humanitarian operations.
