West Darfur, March 09 (Darfur24)
Seven civilians, including the director of a local organization, were injured on Sunday when a drone, believed to belong to the Sudanese army, struck the Salia market south of El Geneina in West Darfur State.
Eyewitnesses told Darfur24 that the airstrike caused panic among traders and residents, destroyed several cars, and set parts of the market ablaze.
The injured, including the director of the Siyaj Organization, were rushed to Al-Junaynah Hospital for treatment.
Drone attacks have become a recurring feature of the nearly three-year-long conflict, with the Darfur and Kordofan regions serving as the main epicenters of the war.
