Nyala, February 07 (Darfur24)
The Sudanese Founding Alliance “Tasis” announced on Saturday that it had approved the 2026 program and budget of the parallel government it formed in Nyala, South Darfur State.
The alliance previously declared the establishment of a parallel governing structure consisting of a presidential council, an executive authority, and regional governors.
Alliance spokesperson Alaa El-Din Naqd said in a statement obtained by Darfur24 that the leadership body approved the government’s program and budget during meetings held between January 31 and February 3.
Naqd added that the leadership body also endorsed internal regulations to organize its work and formed 11 specialized committees. Committee heads, deputies, and rapporteurs were appointed, and an executive committee was established from among the committee leaders.
He said the body agreed to complete the institutional structures of what it described as the “peace government,” and approved general guidelines for a workshop focused on ending the war and achieving comprehensive peace. The session also endorsed a framework paper outlining foreign relations priorities and a media strategy.
According to Naqd, the meetings were chaired by the head of the alliance’s leadership body and commander of the Rapid Support Forces, Mohamed Hamdan “Hemedti,” who briefed members on political and security developments. He reaffirmed the alliance’s commitment to what he described as the voluntary unity of Sudan, both in territory and population.
