Special Report, November 4 (Darfur24)

A delegation from the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) met with officers from the Chadian army near the border between the two countries on Monday to discuss cooperation in border security and combating cross-border crime.

The head of the RSF’s Peace and Reconciliation Committee, Brigadier General Musa Hamid Ambelo, said the meeting took place within the framework of joint efforts to secure the Sudan–Chad border region.

He added that the discussions focused on issues of peaceful coexistence among border communities in both countries, as well as efforts to curb smuggling and cross-border criminal activities.

According to Ambelo, both sides agreed on the need for continued coordination and field cooperation to protect the borders, pursue criminals, and prevent armed robberies.

He emphasized that strengthening communication between security forces in Sudan and Chad is essential for maintaining security and stability in the border areas.

Ambelo reaffirmed the RSF’s commitment to ongoing coordination with the Chadian army to ensure border security and protect citizens in adjacent regions.
