Darfur24 has learned that the UN Secretary-General’s Personal Envoy to Sudan, Ramtane Lamamra, arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, on Tuesday to hold talks with a delegation from the Sudan Foundation Alliance (TASIS).

According to informed sources, Lamamra requested the meeting, expected to take place in the Kenyan capital.

The sources confirmed that Abdelaziz Al-Hilu, Vice President of TASIS, traveled from Nyala to Nairobi to lead the alliance’s delegation in the talks with the UN envoy.

Lamamra has urged all Sudanese parties to engage in constructive dialogue that can lead to a sustainable solution, expressing his readiness to discuss peace efforts with all stakeholders.

TASIS is a partnership between the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N), an armed group that controls parts South Kordofan and Blue Nile states in southern Sudan.
