Nyala, September2 (Darfur24)

On Monday, the Prime Minister of TASIS government, Mohamed Hassan Osman Al-Ta’aishi, issued his first decision appointing Goni Mustafa Abu Bakr Sharif as Sudan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations.

He explained that the decision is based on the 2025 Interim Constitution, calling on the relevant authorities to take the necessary measures to implement the decision immediately.

Mohamed Hassan Al-Ta’aishi was sworn in Sunday, in the city of Nyala, South Darfur State.

This came one day after the President, Vice President, and members of the Presidential Council, including eight regional governors, took the oath of office as part of the so-called “Peace Government.”

Al-Ta’aishi announced the outlines of the TASIS government on Monday, which he said will include a commitment to security and the preservation of the dignity of all Sudanese. He also revealed the drafting of new laws for the police, security, and public prosecution, in addition to a law to combat terrorism.

The Rapid Support Forces, the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North, the Sudan Liberation Movement-Transitional Council, and the Sudan Liberation Forces Alliance, along with other political forces and community leaders administrations, reached an interim constitution after signing a political charter under which the “TASIS” coalition was formed.
