The German organization Against Hunger (WHH) provided financial aid to internally displaced people(IDPs) in the towns of Al-Lait Jar al-Nabi and Al-Tawisha in North Darfur.
A source from the organization told Darfur 24 on Monday that they had completed the delivery of financial aid to approximately 1,200 families, including displaced people in shelters and vulnerable groups in host communities in the towns of Al-Lait Jar al-Nabi and Al-Tawisha.
He indicated that this aid comes within the framework of the organization’s efforts to alleviate the burden on those affected by the war in North Darfur.
For his part, Madah Mahmoud, a humanitarian activist in the Al-Tawisha area, confirmed to Darfur 24 that the German organization Against Hunger had delivered financial aid to the displaced people host communities in the two towns, amounting to 720,000 Sudanese pounds per family, through banking applications.
Mahmoud stated that this aid will contribute to improving the conditions of the displaced people, who are facing tragic circumstances due to deteriorating living conditions.
The towns of Al-Lait Jar al-Nabi and Al-Tawisha, located east of El Fasher, are home to thousands of families fleeing conflicts in Khartoum, Nyala, El Fasher, and other areas in North Darfur.
