Sudanese Minister Kamil Idris announced on Sunday the appointment of ministers and ministers of state in a government dubbed the “Government of Hope.”

Idris’s government is under the authority of the military, which has taken Port Sudan as the center of post-war Sudan’s governance. Meanwhile, the Tassis Alliance, which includes the Rapid Support Forces( RSF), armed groups, and political and civil society forces, announced a parallel government on Saturday.

Kamil Idris said he appointed Lamia Abdel Ghaffar Khalaf Allah Ahmed as Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Moatasim Ibrahim Ahmed as Minister of Energy, Ahmed Al-Dardiri Ghandour as Minister of Digital Transformation and Communications, Al-Tuhami Al-Zein Hajar Mohammed as Minister of Education and National Education, and Ahmed Adam Ahmed as Minister of Youth and Sports.

He also indicated that he decided to appoint Omar Siddiq as Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Nour as Minister of State at the Ministry of Finance, and Salma Ishaq Mohammed as Minister of State at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Welfare.

Thus, Kamel Idris has appointed 20 ministers and three ministers of state since assuming office.
