The Ministry of Health in South Darfur State revealed on Tuesday that cholera cases have risen to 110 after thirteen new cases were recorded, including three deaths.
The daily cholera report issued by the General Administration of Health Emergencies and Epidemic Control indicated that 11 cases were recorded in the Al-Riel and Al-Rumaila areas of the Balil locality, one case in the Al-Jabal neighborhood of the Nyala South locality, and one case in the Al-Salam neighborhood of the Nyala North locality.
The Emergency Department stated that the total number of infections since the first case on May 27 has risen to (110) cases, including 10 deaths.
The Ministry of Health dispatched response, investigation, and environmental health teams to the Al-Riel area of the Balil locality, which recorded 11 cases in a single day.
The State Ministry of Health launched health awareness and education campaigns in several Nyala neighborhoods, in addition to chlorinating water sources in the city.
