El Fasher, June 3(Darfur 24)

Four people were killed and others wounded in a drone strike on Monday evening targeting World Food Programme (WFP) aid trucks in the town of Al Kuma, North Darfur, according to eyewitnesses.

A medical source at Al Kuma Rural Hospital confirmed to Darfur 24 that four truck drivers were killed on spot, while nine workers sustained varying injuries, some of which were serious and required urgent surgery.

Eyewitness Mohammed Rabeh told Darfur 24 that the convoy, which had arrived in Al Kuma from the Northern State a few days earlier, was en route to El Fasher when it was subjected to a violent attack by a Sudanese army drone, he said.
