Kulbus, February 5(Darfur24) The Rapid Support Forces (RSF )have sent large military reinforcements to the northern areas of West Darfur State, amid security tensions and fears of military confrontations with a force allied with the army gathering in the Al-Tina area.
Informed sources confirmed to Darfur24 that RSF have sent large military equipped with heavy artillery, near the areas of Al-Tina, Kulbus and Jirjira.
The sources said that the RSFand the militias allied with them have spread widely in the areas adjacent to North Darfur State and near the border with Chad.
Video clips circulated on social media showed elements of the joint force allied with the Sudanese army in the city of Al-Tina in North Darfur State, adjacent to the city of Kulbus, talking about their readiness to launch an attack on some areas of West Darfur State, all the way to the city of Al-Geneina.
At a time when sources confirmed that most of the soldiers of the joint force are from the Sudanese Alliance movement led by Bukhari Muhammad Abdullah.
Meanwhile, identical sources revealed to Darfur 24 the influx of dozens of young Sudanese refugees in refugee camps in eastern Chad to the city of Tina to join the joint force.
The sources said that the Sudanese army’s warplanes carried out several airdrops of military supplies to the joint force in Tina.
On Monday, drones launched attacks on the city of Tina, the second of their kind, while Darfur 24 was unable to determine the extent of the losses they caused.
