On Saturday, the Sudanese army’s warplanes launched an airstrike on sites in the city of Al-Fula in West Kordofan State, after months of calm.

Eyewitnesses told Darfur 24 that Al-Fula witnessed an airstrike at 3:00 p.m. by the army’s warplanes, where a shell landed near the government secretariat in the Al-Daraja neighborhood in the center of the city.
Eyewitnesses, Abdul Rahman Hamid reported that fear and terror prevailed among citizens following the Sudanese army’s warplanes’ bombing of the city.
He indicated that the airstrikes targeted the local government headquarters, where the shells landed inside citizens’ homes without causing any damage.
The RSF expanded their presence in West Kordofan during May, taking control of El-Nuhood, Al-Khawi, and Balada.
