January 7, 2025 Nyala – Darfur24 The Sudanese Army launched airstrikes described as violent on the city of Nyala, the capital of South Darfur State, without recording any casualties, according to eyewitnesses and medical sources.
A medical source at Nyala Teaching Hospital revealed to Darfur24 that no dead or wounded arrived at the hospital following the airstrike that targeted the city on Monday.
Meanwhile, Othman Adam, an eyewitness, said that an Antonov warplane flew over the city and dropped 12 explosive barrels on Nyala Airport east of the city, Moosaih Boarding House at Nyala University, and the former UNAMID Headquarters northeast of the city.
The warplanes launched airstrikes on the city of Nyala on Wednesday and Friday, killing 6 civilians and wounding 8 others, according to a medical source at Nyala Teaching Hospital to Darfur24.
Last December, 6 people from one family were killed in Al-Wadi neighborhood west of the city, due to an airstrike by a warplane that targeted their home.
