Malha, November 02 (Darfur24)

Two people were killed on Sunday when a Sudanese army drone struck a commercial vehicle transporting passengers and goods in Al-Malha locality, about 210 kilometers northeast of El Fasher, North Darfur State.

Volunteers in Al-Malha told Darfur24 that the strike targeted the vehicle in the Wadi Majrur area, within the Al-Hara administrative unit.

They identified the victims as trader Mohammed Musa Bakhit Takras and the driver, Ali Ismail.

Al-Malha is controlled by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and lies near the Sudan-Libya border.

The volunteers said targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure violated international humanitarian law, which prohibits attacks on civilians and civilian objects, and called for those responsible to be held accountable.

Drone attacks by the warring parties have escalated across Sudan, increasingly targeting military positions and populated areas in several states.
