Khartoum, May 13 (Darfur24)

The National Humanitarian Access Authority, affiliated with the RSF-led TASIS alliance, has extended the registration deadline for international and national aid organizations until June 13.

The extension comes amid growing tensions with Sudan’s military-led government, which opposes humanitarian organizations engaging with the parallel administration in RSF-controlled areas.

The authority stated that the move aims to provide organizations with more time to complete technical and administrative procedures, ensuring the continued delivery of humanitarian assistance.

According to the authority, 36 of 43 international organizations and around 138 national organizations operating in TASIS-controlled areas have complied with the registration procedures so far.

Authorities in Port Sudan have warned organizations against dealing with the TASIS government, arguing that such engagement amounts to recognition of parallel state institutions in Sudan.
