El Obeid, October 6 (Darfur24)
The Sudanese army announced on Sunday that two hospitals, residential neighborhoods, and several service facilities were damaged in a drone attack on the city of El Obeid, North Kordofan State.
In a statement obtained by Darfur24, the army spokesman’s office said that Rapid Support Forces (RSF) targeted several sites in El Obeid using suicide drones, striking both military and civilian facilities.
The attack caused damage to El Obeid Teaching Hospital, Al-Daman Hospital, several residential areas, and other service facilities. No casualties were reported.
The army noted that El Obeid has become a vital supply hub for its forces and allies in the Kordofan region, as RSF bombardments continue to target the city.
Neither the Rapid Support Forces nor the Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS) has issued any statements regarding the attack.
