Eyewitnesses and local sources reported Thursday that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) launched arrests in Nyala following a deadly explosion at the South Darfur government secretariat on Wednesday.
The blast, which struck the northern part of the secretariat, killed several civilians, including five guards of the Civil Administration Chief.
Sources told Darfur24 that RSF military police arrested 11 people near the government secretariat shortly after the explosion. A military source said three individuals suspected of having contacts with military intelligence were placed under investigation, while the others were later released.
Eyewitnesses also reported that RSF military police detained several young men near the site of the blast.
