Khartoum , March 8(Darfur 24)
Sources said on Saturday that the Rapid Support Forces( RSF)sent military reinforcements on motorcycles accompanied by modern jamming devices to Khartoum State.
The army and allied forces regained most of the sites controlled by the RSF in Khartoum Bahri and other sites in Khartoum and Omdurman.
Sources toldvDarfur 24 that recently trained military forces affiliated with the RSF arrived in Khartoum on motorcycles equipped with modern jamming devices.
The sources attributed the use of motorcycles in battles to the ease of their movement with infantry forces from one site to another with the use of machine guns.
The sources stated that the RSF transferred some heavy artillery, advanced systems and medical units to the city of Omdurman as a precaution against any field developments.
The army and the groups fighting with it took control of the Manshiya and Soba East bridges from the eastern side, after violent battles with the RSF in Soba East and East Nile in Khartoum Bahri.
The army and its allies used heavy artillery, drones, and a guided missile launch system in the battles of East Nile and Soba East, which led to the retreat of the RSF from the Manshiya and Soba East bridges from the eastern side.
The sources said that the armed forces used advanced drones in these battles, and the jamming devices possessed by RSF were unable to intercept them, which led to the latter’s rapid retreat to the western bank of the Nile.
The sources reported that the army regained some sites adjacent to the Nile in East Nile, while RSF are still present in several sites within the region, although they have become almost besieged.
The Rapid Support Forces control most sites in Khartoum, including the presidential palace, state institutions, and neighborhoods south and east of the city, in addition to sites in East Nile and large areas of Omdurman.
