A technical committee decided, on Sunday, to postpone the signing of the political charter of the government to be formed in the areas controlled by the Rapid Support Forces RSF, until Tuesday, due to the inability of some delegations to reach the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.

Sources told Darfur 24 that some delegations from inside and outside Sudan were unable to reach Nairobi at the time of writing the news.

The ources stated that the technical committee postponed the start of the signing ceremony of the political charter to Tuesday instead of Monday, so that all participants could attend.

The political charter was agreed upon by several entities, including the United Civilian Forces Alliance “Qimma”, the Unified Federal Party, the National Umma Party, and the Original Federal Party, in addition to the Revolutionary Front and civil and community forces.

The tasks of the parallel government are to protect civilians, provide health, education and electricity services, issue identification documents, provide humanitarian aid, and (neutralize the army’s warplanes).

The step of declaring the government in areas controlled by the Rapid Support Forces raises fears that it will lead to the division of the country, while some believe that signs of division have begun to appear through the exchange of the currency and the holding of Sudanese certificate exams in areas controlled by the army
