The Sudanese Founding Alliance (TASIS) announced on Wednesday a new organizational structure, which includes the formation of specialized committees and the appointment of an official spokesperson.

The alliance described this move as part of its preparations for a “new phase of revolutionary and political work” amid Sudan’s ongoing conflict.

In a statement issued following the third session of its leadership body meetings, chaired by Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, the alliance said the restructuring aims to strengthen coordination with grassroots supporters and implement the objectives of the “Founding Charter.”

TASIS reaffirmed its commitment to establishing what it described as “a new, secular, democratic, decentralized and voluntarily united Sudan” based on the principles of freedom, justice, and equality.

The appointments included Khalil Abdullah Adam as head of the Political Liaison Committee, Saif Al-Din Abdul Rahman Mohamed as head of the Strategic Studies and Research Committee, Ibrahim Makki Ibrahim as head of the Social and Diversity Management Committee, and Abdul Latif Abdullah Ismail as head of the Humanitarian Affairs Committee.

The alliance also named Hudhaifa Abdullah Mustafa as head of the Organizational Committee, Hasab Al-Nabi Mahmoud as head of the Media Committee, Mutawakkil Othman Salamat as head of the Legal and Human Rights Committee, and Amani Musa Koudi as head of the Women and Children Committee.

Additionally, the coalition appointed Ahmed Taqad as its official spokesperson, alongside two deputies, and added that additional structures, including committees for external relations and youth and student affairs, will be announced later.

The alliance said it had entered “a new and extremely important phase of steadfast revolutionary political actionaimed at achieving political change and building what it called the “new Sudan.”
