Dilling, November 25(Darfur24) A primary school teacher in the Al-Farshaya area, died on November 23 at Dilling Hospital, just one day after his release from army detention in Dilling.

Ahmed Al-Malih, a relative of Tartour, told Darfur24 that the deceased had been detained for nearly seven months along with his colleague and cousin, Imam Al-Dhai Tawer, also a primary school teacher in the Dilling locality of South Kordofan State.

Al-Malih explained that the two men left the Dilling area after being targeted and accused of being “incubators” for the Rapid Support Forces RSF .

According to the family, they received a call from their colleagues at the Dilling Education Office to come and collect their salaries, but upon their arrival, they were arrested by military intelligence.

Al-Malih confirmed that Mr. Tartour suffered from diabetes, and his health deteriorated significantly during his detention, leading to a worsening of his condition.

He added that the authorities released him on bail after his condition worsened, and he was then transferred to Dilling Hospital, where he died one day after his release.

Al-Malih indicated that the information available about the deceased’s final hours in the hospital remains unclear, and that the family is unable to travel to Dilling to verify the details or taking any action, due to what he described as “direct targeting of all family members under the pretext that they are incubators for the Rapid Support Forces.”
