Kordofan, November 3 (Darfur24)

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the Al-Mazroub area, west of Bara in North Kordofan State, have arrested about 30 civilians for allegedly collaborating with the Sudanese army.

Sources told Darfur24 on Monday that an armed RSF unit detained several people from Al-Mazroub market and took them to an unknown location for investigation.

The sources added that the RSF pledged to release the detainees after completing the investigations. Most of those arrested reportedly work in the market to earn their livelihood amid the deteriorating security and economic situation in the region.

The Al-Mazroub area was targeted by a drone strike on October 17, killing more than 20 people, including the leader of the Majaneen tribe, Prince Suleiman Jaber Jumaa Sahl, along with several local leaders.

The Sudanese army and the RSF have exchanged accusations over responsibility for carrying out that attack.
