El Geneina, October 20 (Darfur24)

The chief of the Mahadi tribe, Mohammed Hasaballah, and three members of his family were killed on Sunday in a drone strike believed to have been carried out by the Sudanese army in the Abu Jadad area of Sirba locality, West Darfur State.

Sources told Darfur24 that a drone flew over the area before firing a missile that struck Hasaballah and his relatives. The attack caused their immediate deaths, while several of his companions were injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.

This incident was part of a series of airstrikes reported across Darfur on Sunday.

Earlier the same day, a drone targeted the West Darfur local government headquarters, injuring the head of the civil administration, Tijani Karshom, and killing three of his guards.

In a separate attack, the Saraf Omra market in North Darfur was also bombed, leaving several civilians injured, destroying vehicles, and damaging nearby shops.
