Khartoum, October 14 (Darfur24)

Five soldiers were killed and others injured on Tuesday when a drone strike targeted the College of Engineering complex in the city of Ad-Dabba, Northern State, according to multiple local sources.

The Executive Director of the Dabba Locality, Mohamed Saber, in a brief statement to Darfur24, said, “A drone bombed the College of Engineering headquarters, killing five people and wounding others. They were transferred to the city hospital.”

An eyewitness reported that the drone flew over the city before firing two missiles. One missile struck the Faculty of Engineering at Dongola University, which is partially used as a temporary headquarters by the General Intelligence Service and the Joint Force of armed movements.

Another source said the dead included three members of the General Intelligence Service and two from the Joint Force. Several wounded personnel were taken to hospitals in Dabba and to the Medical Corps in Merowe.

The victims were buried in the city on Tuesday afternoon.

This is the fourth drone strike on Dabba this year. Previous attacks targeted the army garrison and nearby residential neighborhoods, causing casualties among both military personnel and civilians.
