Nyala, September 25(Darfur24)

The Governor of Darfur Region affiliated with the Sudan Founding Alliance Government (TASIS), Al-Hadi Idris, issued a decree on Thursday, dissolving all civil administrations in the Darfur region.

The decision, which was seen by Darfur24, the governor stated that it is in accordance with the provisions of Article (52), Paragraph (d), and Article (67), Paragraph (2), of the Interim Constitution of the Republic of Sudan for the year 2025.

The decision tasked the sitting administrative leaders with managing the affairs of the states until the regional government structures were formed.

The Rapid Support Forces had previously formed civil administrations in the areas under their control to assume government duties and manage the work of the government.

Last March, TASIS approved a political charter and a transitional constitution to establish a new government in Sudan, parallel to the Sudanese military government. Last August, TASIS announced the formation of its government, which consists of a 15-member presidential council headed by the commander of the Rapid Support Forces, and deputized by the leader of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement, Abdelaziz al-Hilu.
