Khartoum, September 9 (Darfur24) – The Sudan Foundation Alliance (TASIS) announced that its drones struck military and logistical sites in Khartoum and several other cities, saying the operations were in response to what it called the “criminal targeting” of hospitals and civilian facilities in Darfur and Kordofan.
Videos shared on social media showed drones hovering over parts of Khartoum State before launching attacks.
TASIS spokesperson Dr. Alaa El-Din Awad Nugud said Tuesday that the strikes only targeted sites linked to what he described as hostile forces.
He stressed that civilians and their property were not targeted, in line with the alliance’s “ethical principles” in confronting what it called “the crimes of the Islamic Movement’s army and its militias.”
The alliance said it reserves the right to respond to repeated attacks ordered by what it described as the ‘Port Sudan Gang’ and the international Muslim Brotherhood. It vowed to continue a actively respond against any threat to the security and dignity of citizens.
TASIS reaffirmed its commitment to eliminating terrorism and building a free, just, and peaceful state.
