Identical sources revealed on Sunday that a delegation from the Sudan Founding Alliance (SFA) arrived in Nyala, the capital of South Darfur State, to prepare for the announcement of the parallel government in areas controlled by the Rapid Support Forces( RSF).
The official in charge of the civil administration affiliated with RSF in South Darfur told Darfur 24 that preparations have been completed to announce and host the government from within Nyala.
He indicated that the civil administration has renovated the government secretariat buildings and the guest house in the city center in preparation for receiving government members and arranging for the smooth running of work in Nyala.
He explained that some buildings in the airport neighborhood east of the city have been prepared to host the government, including the Aldaman Hotel and other vital premises.
Sources told Darfur 24 that a delegation from SFA arrived in Nyala from the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, late last week.
The delegation included several coalition leaders, headed by former Sovereignty Council member Mohamed Hassan al-Ta’aishi.
The source expected the parallel government to be announced this March from Nyala.
RSF, the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North, the Sudan Liberation Movement-Transitional Council, the Sudan Liberation Forces Alliance, and other political forces reached an interim constitution after signing a political charter under which the alliance was formed.
On Saturday, the National Umma Party in South Darfur State held a workshop for the Sudan founding Alliance on the 2025 Interim Constitution.
Hafez Omar, Secretary of the National Umma Party in South Darfur State, said that the Umma Party has continued to work for peace and stability, achieving democratic practice, transparency, and the rule of law.
Hafez explained that South Darfur State will witness significant activity in the coming days, stressing that it is prepared to receive delegations arriving in Nyala from within and outside the country, in a manner befitting peacemakers and changemakers.
The participation of Umma Party leader Fadlallah Burma Nasser in the arrangements for the political charter and transitional constitution sparked widespread controversy in Sudan and within the party’s corridors.
