January 27, 2025 Sirba – Darfur 24 Chadian authorities deployed military forces along the border strip with Sudan to monitor the border, combat negative phenomena, and control entry and exit movements.
Eyewitnesses told “Darfur 24” that Chadian authorities deployed military forces at several border sites with Sudan.
The witnesses noted that these forces are distributed in tents and use motorcycles in its movement to protect the border and prevent smuggling.
In the same context, sources told “Darfur 24” that Chadian forces and Sudanese Rapid Support Forces agreed in Sirba area of West Darfur State to cooperate and coordinate to combat livestock theft in neighboring areas.
Gangs are active in the border areas between Sudan and Chad, as they steal livestock and cross it into the borders of the other country, leading to security tensions with a tribal dimension.
