Al-Daein, October 20 (Darfur24)
Five people were killed and 20 others injured, some critically, in a drone strike targeting military sites in Al-Daein, the capital of East Darfur state, on Monday, medical sources told Darfur24.
Residents reported hearing successive loud explosions that shook the eastern and southeastern parts of the city, toward Al-Jalabi prison, which houses hundreds of detainees.
A resident who requested anonymity said the drone flew over the city several times before launching its projectiles.
Meanwhile, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) sealed off the area around their headquarters in the city centre, one of the targeted sites, and prevented civilians from approaching.
