Nyala, April 27 (Darfur24)
The Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS) in South Darfur has announced the formation of interim committees, marking a further step in building the structures of a parallel administration based in Nyala.
In a statement issued Sunday following a meeting in the city, the alliance said the committees were formed by consensus as part of efforts to strengthen institutional organization and distribute responsibilities within the coalition.
The alliance named heads for eight committees: Hafez Ahmed Omar (Political), Hashem Osman (Media), Ahmed Adam Issa Jarma (Administration and Organization), Mohammed Al-Hussein (Humanitarian), Abdullah Ahmed Mohammed (Legal), Arafa Al-Taher (Women and Children), Adam Barima (Finance), and Abdul-Moneim Ibrahim Ahmed (Youth, Students and Sports).
The move follows earlier steps by the alliance to establish governing structures, including the formation of a Council of Regions announced by RSF commander Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, aimed at consolidating what the group describes as a “founding government” with Nyala as its administrative capital.
The TASIS was formed on February 22, 2025, by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement–North, and allied armed and political groups, before later declaring the creation of a parallel government.
