Eyewitnesses said on Monday that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have dispatched new military reinforcements to the Kordofan region.
Sources told Darfur24 that columns of RSF vehicles are moving toward Al-Abyad, the capital of North Kordofan State. Witnesses reported seeing around 50 Land Cruiser combat vehicles in Wad Banda en route to Al-Nuhud and El Obeid.
The vehicles were reportedly equipped with heavy and medium weapons, including anti-aircraft guns and quad-mounted cannons.
The RSF has strengthened its control over West Kordofan following its capture of the 22nd Infantry Division in Babanusa and the Heglig oil field. The force now maintains a presence across parts of West, North, and South Kordofan, as well as most of the Darfur region.
