A Sudanese refugee was stabbed to death and two others were injured in separate incidents inside the Adré refugee camp in eastern Chad, local sources told Darfur 24.
According to the sources, the fatal stabbing occurred following a dispute over money, leading to the immediate death of the victim. In a separate attack, two refugees sustained serious injuries after being stabbed by an assailant who later fled.
Chadian police confirmed they had arrested the suspects and launched an investigation into the motives behind the attacks.
The Adré camp, which shelters thousands of people who fled the conflict in Sudan, has recently witnessed repeated violent incidents, sparking fear and concern among the refugee community.
