Zalingei, June 26(Darfur 24)

Three members of the Rapid Support Forces RSF were killed and others were injured as a Sudanese armySAF drone bombed the Al-Sisi area, southeast of El Geneina, the capital of West Darfur state.

Sources told Darfur 24 that a drone flew for more than an hour over the main road linking Central and West Darfur states before firing four missiles at a Rapid Support Forces force stationed on both sides of the road.

The sources indicated that the strike killed three members of the Rapid Support Forces and injured others, some of whom were in critical condition. Two military vehicles were also destroyed in the attack.

The sources stated that some of the injured RSF affiliates were taken to hospitals in El Geneina, the capital of West Darfur state.

This is the first time that Sudanese army drones have attacked Central and West Darfur states, after their attacks had recently focused on Nyala, the capital of South Darfur state.
