The International Organization for Migration (IOM), , said on Monday that 15,000 households were displaced from the town ofAl Malha in North Darfur due to fighting between the army, the joint forces, and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
In a statement obtained by Darfur 24 IOM stated that the wave of displacement occurred over a 48-hour period, between Thursday and Friday.
It indicated that the displaced people fled to other areas in Al.Malha locality, where the situation remains tense and unpredictable.
The town ofAl Malha, located 210 kilometers northeast of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur state, witnessed fierce fighting last Thursday between the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the joint force of armed movements that had long controlled the town.
