October 10, Shangil Tobaya— Farmer Aboud Issa, 43, was murdered at his farm by an unknown group earlier this week in Um Draisaya, southwest of Shangil Tobaya town, North Darfur.
Now, Idris Yaqoub Abkar, a community leader in Shangil Tobaya, told Darfur24 that the surrounding areas are experiencing widespread violations by armed groups allied with Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
On Wednesday, they opened fire intensively in Um Shalaya, west of Shangil Tobaya, threatened and blackmailed citizens, and looted phones and money citizens. Another resident told Darfur24 that there has been seven incidents of assault and looting in surrounding areas in the past week.
