Al-Nuhud, October 16 (Darfur24)

Seven civilians, including six children, were killed and others injured in air strikes targeting areas in West and North Kordofan, damaging homes, civilian property, and trucks carrying food supplies, according to local sources and the Emergency Lawyers Group.

Sources told Darfur24 that a bombing targeted the Fuga area of Al-Nuhud locality in West Kordofan on Wednesday, killing Ali Yasser Ali and injuring two other people. The attack also damaged trucks carrying food and other goods.

A separate bombing struck the market in Al-Janana village, west of Wad Banda, killing the child Al-Jili Ali Hamed and injuring several others, the sources said. The attack also caused significant damage to civilian property and vehicles.

In North Kordofan, the Emergency Lawyers Group said in a statement issued on Thursday, October 15, that an Antonov aircraft belonging to the Sudanese army had struck the home of Jadallah Mohamed Jadallah in the Abu Zaima area, killing five of his children and injuring their mother. The strike also destroyed several houses.

The group condemned the attack, saying there were no military positions or installations in the area. It called for those responsible to be held accountable and brought to justice.

Sources also reported continued shelling in Abu Zaima, Umm Badr and other areas of North Kordofan.

Darfur24 was unable to independently verify all details of the reported attacks and casualty figures.

Several parts of the Kordofan region have witnessed clashes between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), alongside military operations and shifts in territorial control.
