Nyala, April 24 (Darfur24)
The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) announced on Thursday that a field court had sentenced Major General Al-Nour Ahmed Adam, known as “Al-Nour Al-Qubba,” to death in absentia, after stripping him of his rank and dismissing him from service over serious military charges.
According to the ruling, reviewed by Darfur24 and signed by the head of the Administration Department, Major General Omar Hamdan, Al-Qubba was reduced to the rank of soldier and officially dismissed from the RSF effective April 22, 2026.
The verdict stated that the charges were based on violations of multiple provisions of the RSF Act of 2017, including desertion, abandoning military positions, aiding and abetting the enemy, joining opposing forces, and rebelling against the constitutional order.
The ruling comes in the wake of Al-Qubba’s recent defection from the RSF and his alignment with the Sudanese army—a move that has triggered wide reactions across military and political circles.
