Al-Rahad Abu Dakna, March 16 (Darfur24)

Two brothers were killed and a third injured after a drone strike targeted a residential house in the Al-Shati neighborhood south of Al-Rahad Abu Dakna in North Kordofan State on Saturday, medical sources said on Monday.

Sources told Darfur24 that the attack occurred between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., when a drone was seen flying over the city before striking the house, resulting in casualties among children inside the home.

The sources said the strike killed two brothers, Abdullah and Abdul-Ilah Muhammad Al-Tabsi, while their third brother, Hussein Muhammad Al-Tabsi, survived with a broken arm and was transferred to Al-Rahad Hospital for treatment.

According to the sources, the three children belonged to a family that had already lost both parents in the past two years. Their father died about two years ago, while their mother died last year after contracting cholera, leaving the siblings living in difficult humanitarian conditions.

In a related incident, sources said a drone also targeted the Health Insurance building in Al-Rahad Abu Dakna on the same day, causing significant damage and destroying large parts of the facility, which has since been taken out of service.

The city of Al-Rahad has recently witnessed repeated drone attacks that have resulted in deaths and injuries, as well as disruptions to basic services such as electricity.
