Kadugli, February 05 (Darfur24)
A drone strike believed to have been carried out by the Rapid Support Forces targeted the Al-Shartai Health Center in Kadugli, South Kordofan State, on Tuesday, killing several civilians, according to eyewitnesses.
Ali Ezzedine, an eyewitness, told Darfur24 that at least 10 civilians, including women and children, were killed and others sustained varying injuries when the drone struck the health facility in the Hajar Al-Nour neighborhood. He stated that the attack resulted in extensive damage to the center.
The strike came hours after the head of the Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Army, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, announced the reopening of the road leading to Kadugli and the lifting of the siege on the city.
Following the announcement, the route linking Kadugli to Dilling, passing through Habila, Abu Kershola, and Al Rahad in North Kordofan, was expected to reopen to civilian movement, trade, and humanitarian aid.
