Kordofan, November 20 (Darfur24)

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) restored Starlink satellite internet service to the city of Wadbanda in West Kordofan State on Thursday, ending a 21-day outage imposed after Sudanese army drones targeted the local market.

Sources told Darfur24 that the blackout began on October 30 following the drone strikes, which the RSF believed were linked to alleged collaboration between some residents and the army.

According to the sources, the locality has witnessed a marked deterioration in security, including repeated incidents of looting, armed robbery, and nighttime home invasions.

They added that the RSF carried out widespread arrest operations, detaining four people who were later released due to a lack of evidence.

The drone attack on Wadbanda market caused several civilian deaths and injuries, burned the fuel market, and left others with burns and fractures. Some of the wounded were transferred to hospitals in Ghubaysh, El Daein, and El Obeid.
