Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Mohieldin Salim Ahmed, has begun an official visit to Washington, D.C., at the invitation of the United States government. The visit comes as part of Khartoum’s efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation and rebuild ties with Washington.

In a statement released Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the visit aims to advance dialogue on issues of mutual interest, including support for peace efforts in Sudan, enhancing economic and humanitarian cooperation, and exploring ways to restore bilateral relations based on mutual respect and shared interests.
