El Geneina October 20 (Darfur24)

Eyewitnesses reported on Sunday that the head of the civil administration in West Darfur State, Al-Tijani Karshom, was injured and three of his guards were killed in an airstrike targeting the state government headquarters.

Sources told Darfur 24 that a drone bombed both the government compound and Karshom’s vehicle, injuring him and killing three members of his security detail.

The strike also caused additional injuries, and initial reports indicate that two children were wounded near the government building.

The Rapid Support Forces, who control the state, have imposed a security cordon around the compound and prevented civilians from approaching the site of the attack.
