Authorities in the Tartar area of eastern South Kordofan State arrested journalist Ibrahim Saleh on Tuesday and detained him at the Tartar Police Station, following complaints filed by the Abbasiya Taqali Prosecution Office.
Local sources told Darfur24 that Saleh’s arrest came after he published reports on corruption in the region.
According to the sources, the arrest took place in the early morning hours, when a security force raided his residence and transferred him to the police station, based on complaints filed by the Abbasiya Public Prosecution regarding his publications.
