The Ministry of Health in South Darfur State announced on Tuesday the recording of 45 new cholera cases, including one death.

The cumulative number of cases since the first case was recorded on May 27 has risen to (844) and the death toll to 52, according to the daily epidemiological report on cholera cases issued by the General Administration of Health Emergencies and Epidemic Control.

(11) new cases were recorded in Nyala North locality from the neighborhoods of Domaya, Salam West, Al-Tadamon, Dereij Camp, Al-Riyadh, Al-Nahda, and Al-Darwa. There were also 11 cases from the neighborhoods of Karari, Al-Jabal, Al-Wahda South, Al-Wali, West Al-Izaa, and Al-Wadi in Nyala South locality. Fifteen cases were recorded in Al-Salam and Kalma Camp in Balil locality. Eight cases were also recorded in Al-Salam locality, in the Umm Kasara area.

The total number of cases since the first case was recorded on May 27, 2025, has reached 844 cases and 52 deaths.

Nyala North locality recorded (314) cases, including 16 deaths; Nyala South (156) cases and 5 deaths; Ntega (2) cases; Balil (314) cases, including 29 deaths; (9) cases from Kass locality; 44 cases and one death from Al-Salam locality; and one case from Qoza and Ad Al-Fursan locality.
