Nyala, July 1(Darfur24)
The Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS) announced on Tuesday the formation of a 31-member leadership council headed by Rapid Support Forces Commander Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, and the selection of Abdel Aziz Adam Al-Haul as deputychairman.
The announcement came after extensive consultations held by the leadership council of the “TASIS” Alliance, along with a series of meetings during which the alliance’s bylaws were approved and the leadership council was formed, according to a statement read by Alaa Eldin Nugud from the city of Nyala, South Darfur.
The statement confirmed the agreement on Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo as Chairman; Abdel Aziz Adam Al-Hilu as deputy chairman and Alaa Eldin Awad Nugud as Official Spokesperson; and Makin Hamid Tirab as Rapporteur.
The statement clarified that the TASIS Alliance is not merely a temporary coordination framework, but rather a national foundational platform aimed at continuing to confront and dismantle the old Sudan and bringing a final and sustainable end to the wars by addressing their causes. Radicalism, paving the way for building a new social contract state based on supra-constitutional principles, establishing a just peace, equal citizenship, and comprehensive justice.
The coalition affirmed its full commitment to openness to all political, civil, and military organizations that resist the “old Sudan”, reject war, and support a just, comprehensive, and sustainable peace. It called on those seeking radical change to rally around its principles and goals and join it.
It pointed out that the wars were a direct result of the lack of political will among the ruling and opposition elites, and their avoidance of addressing and addressing the historical roots of the Sudanese problem, represented by the national identity crisis, the relationship between religion and the state, the nature of the ruling system, profound developmental imbalances, and excessive centralization.
In February and March, political, civil, and armed forces announced the establishment of the Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS) by signing the Sudan Founding Charter and the Interim Constitution of the Republic of Sudan.
The statement added that “the two documents provided answers Bold and realistic in its approach to questions related to the core issues, embodying, for the first time in Sudan’s history, a clear vision for building a new Sudan: secular, democratic, decentralized, and voluntarily unified, based on the values of freedom, justice, and equality.”
