Babanusa, June 29(Darfur 24)
Sources from Babanusa told Darfur 24 that the armed forces carried out an airdrop operation on Sunday to deliver supplies to the 22nd Infantry Division stationed in the city of Babanusa, West Kordofan State.
They indicated that the last airdrop to the 22nd Infantry Division in Babanusa was on April 22.
The 22nd Division has been subjected to an intense attack by Rapid Support Forces since mid-June, after it crossed a minefield planted on the outskirts of the city.
The Rapid Support Forces (RSF )are besieging the city from all directions in an attempt to seize control.
RSF control most areas of West Kordofan, including Al-Fula, Al-Nahud, and Al-Khawi, while the army remains in control of Babanusa and the oil fields in Heglig.
