El Nuhood, May 1( Darfur 24)

Eyewitnesses and local sources in the city of El Nuhood, West Kordofan State, reported on Thursday that Rapid Support Forces (RSF) entered the city following battles with the Sudanese army and its allies.

RSF members on socialmedia, verified by Darfur 24, showing their deployment in front of the El Nuhood local government headquarters, a Bank of Khartoum branch, and several neighborhoods in the city.

According to the sources, the RSF entered the city through the northwest gate after fierce battles in which they overcame the Sudanese army’s advanced defenses, reaching the local government buildings and the market.

The sources confirmed that the army is still positioned at the city’s southwest, and east entrances, in addition to the headquarters of the 18th Brigade located east of El Nuhood, near Mount Haidub. Fighting is ongoing at the time of writing this news.
