The Rapid Support Forces (RSF )transported dozens of its members injured in the recent battle of El Fasher to Nyala, the capital of South Darfur, including the commander of Abdel Rahim Daglo’s guards, according to sources and eyewitnesses.

A witness, who preferred to remain anonymous, told Darfur 24 that hospitals and health centers in Nyala were filled with injured RSF personnel. He noted that among the injured was Hamdan al-Kajli, the commander of the guards for Lieutenant General Abdel Rahim Hamdan Dagalo, the second commander of the Rapid Support Forces.

The witnesses reported that the injured were transferred to the Turkish Hospital, the Specialized Hospital, the Abrar al-Amara Clinic, and the al-Yaqeen Clinic, where the streets leading to them in the al-Jumhuriya neighborhood were closed.

According to the witnesses, some of the injuries included burns to the front parts of the body.

Two sources within RSF told Darfur 24 that some of the seriously injured officers were transported outside Sudan via Nyala International Airport.

On monday RSF launched a fierce attack on the city of El Fasher, with fighting lasting seven hours.

RSF have been imposing a siege on El Fasher for nearly a year in an attempt to seize control of the last Sudanese army base in the Darfur region.
