The Sudanese national football team maintained its lead in the African World Cup qualifiers after a goalless draw with Senegal this evening at Benina International Stadium in Benghazi, Libya, in the fifth round of the qualifiers.

With this draw, the Sudanese national team raised its score to 11 points, maintaining its position at the top of the group. The Democratic Republic of the Congo is in second place with 10 points, followed by Senegal with 9 points, and Togo with 6 points. Mauritania and South Sudan are at the bottom of the group with two points each, with Mauritania leading on goal difference.

The Sudanese national team has secured qualification for the Africa Cup of Nations finals, which will be held in Morocco this year, continuing its successful run in continental competitions.
